What is Raspberry Pi?
The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse. It is a capable little device that enables people of all ages to explore computing, and to learn how to program in languages like Scratch and Python.
What is happening on Raspberry Pi day?
On Raspberry Pi day, volunteer mentors from across the region will join us at the Camden CoLab. They will show you how to set up a Raspberry Pi, and some of the things you can do with it. When you are done, they can teach you some of the basics about how to program it to do the things you want it to!
At the end of the day, you can take it home with you!
When is it? Where is it?
Raspberry Pi Day is on August 13, kicking off Camden Youth Tech Week. It will start promptly at 9AM. It will be held at the Camden CoLab, 200 Federal Street.
